A busy and exciting start to 2021!

Well we're only just into March and so much has been achieved already to get The Great Horses for Health Relay organisation underway.

From what began as just a glimmer of an idea at the very end of 2020 to what is now looking like a very real relay across the entire United Kingdom, it really has been a hectic start to 2021!

With seven charities now confirmed as being supported by us, the small organising team behind the relay have been busy beavering away behind the scenes working on various negotiatons, contracts, liaising with companies for sponsorship, sourcing the best price on Hi-viz tabards, working with all the charities, ordering rosettes, being interviewed by the equestrian press, holding numerous online meetings and not to mention building an entire website from scratch!

Work is now underway by our lead charity, HorseWorld Trust to build the microsite which will include the online entries system and we are hoping to have this up and running towards the beginning of April when official entries will start to be taken.

It's been a lot of hard work but we have had the most incredible support from all around the equestrian world and a huge number of people have really got behind the idea and are helping us turn it into a reality.

We now also have a fantastic highly motivated team of regional co-ordinators from all around the United Kingdom who have volunteered their support and they are starting to come up with some exciting ideas for how the relay will happen in their areas.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the idea and got behind The Great Horses for Health Relay and to everyone who has given up their spare time in helping us get to where we are today. So it really is all happening now... watch this space for many more exciting announcements over the coming weeks!
